Donald and Tracy first met online at the beginning of 2020. A photo of Donald in a Harry Potter costume caught Tracy's eye and the rest, as they say, is history! The couple had their first date at the Playhouse in Rochester. Even though they were at the bar for 5 straight hours, they didn't play a single game, instead spending the entire time talking, laughing and telling stories. Before they knew it, the bar was closing, but they just couldn't say goodbye. To get out of the cold, they sat in Donald's car and talked for another 4 hours. After that first date they each knew that this was going to be the start of something special.
A seemingly normal Friday, Tracy and Donald had plans to go out to dinner to celebrate Donald's birthday that was two days earlier - or so Tracy thought. Donald suggested going to Duran-Eastman Beach to kill time before the dinner reservation. Tracy happily agreed, as this was one of her favorite spots in Rochester, and the place he told her he loved her for the first time. Walking down the beach with their dog, Arie, enjoying the sunset they couldn't be happier. On the walk back to the car, Donald suggested sitting on a rock to watch the sunset a little longer. To Tracy's surprise, Donald pulled out a small vase of sunflowers and roses hidden behind the rock. When Tracy looked up, Donald had the ring in his hand and asked Tracy to marry him. She could not say yes fast enough. This was the start of their forever.
Donald and Tracy are so excited to share this day with their closest family and friends. They chose this date because fall is the couple's favorite time of year. They fell in love with Freedom Run Winery almost instantly. The venue's beautiful vineyard and historic barn were icing on the cake to its location in the Lockport Hills. Donald and Tracy look forward to sharing their forever day with you, and making it a day to remember.
