Wintzell's Oyster House
Wintzell's is a Mobile landmark for oysters, which you can famously get "fried, stewed, or nude!" If you're looking for seafood staples in walking distance of our hotel blocks, this is a great spot.
Mo' Bay Beignet Co.
Beignets are a traditional Gulf Coast breakfast (lunch, dinner, dessert...) item, and Mo' Bay makes pretty darn good ones.
Ruby Slipper Cafe
Originally from New Orleans, Ruby Slipper offers a hearty cajun-inspired brunch menu.
The Noble South
Another walkable restaurant, the Noble South offers a seasonal, farm-to-table menu. Excellent for dinner, but we'd recommend reservations.
Felix's Fish Camp Restaurant
Felix's Fish Camp is one of the best spots on the Causeway for fresh seafood. Just a short drive from Mobile's downtown area, visitors can enjoy the catch of the day with a view of the water where they caught it!

Another excellent seafood spot on the Causeway, just a short drive from Downtown Mobile.
Mobile Carnival Museum
For our history enthusiasts, the Mobile Carnival Museum offers a look at the story of Mardi Gras in Mobile. You'll find stories of how it all began as well as a glimpse of a few costume pieces made for the Carnival season by the bride's mother!

This museum offers immersive aerospace experiences for visitors of all ages.
Fairhope, Alabama
Just across Mobile Bay you'll find the lovely town of Fairhope. Matt and Grace have loved walking through the downtown area to local restaurants, gift shops, and Page & Palette, a local independent bookstore where Grace first started getting her book fix. The Fairhope Pier just down the hill offers a view of Mobile Bay, and the Grand Hotel & Spa down the road is a great spot to watch the sunset, too.
Dauphin Island
For a glimpse of the Gulf Coast's beautiful white sand beaches, take a little day trip down to Dauphin Island. There's something here for beachgoers, bird watchers, and American history enthusiasts alike.
