FAQs

If you have any questions day of, please harass Kaitlin's mom Karen at: 419-460-2429.
Question

Do we need a car?

Answer

We're going to try to coordinate rides between local friends and out-of-towners! Please get in touch with us if you would like to be paired up with a functioning vehicle! Kaitlin's # is 419-707-2512.

Question

What should we wear??

Answer

Literally whatever you want. We don't feel a need to control what you wear lol. We'll be outside and running around in the mountains midsummer, so REALLY comfortable shoes + something equally comfortable & flowy is the best recommendation I could give you! Whatever you're happy in! If that's a T-rex costume, so be it.

Question

Where should we eat before the ceremony??

Answer

Noah and I's favorite spot is Cabin Creek Brewery in Georgetown, CO - they open at 11am if you want to grab some lunch! If you back track a little bit to Idaho Springs, there's a lot of different options. They've got Beau Jo's which is FAMOUS mountain town pizza, which also opens at 11am! If you crave a simpler life (like much of my Ohio crew) they also have Subway, McDonalds, & a Carls Jr.

Question

Where should we stay??

Answer

Our ceremony is on Guanella Pass atop Georgetown, CO and our reception is at Bread Bar in Silver Plume, CO, so anywhere in the surrounding area will work! This is by no means an urban area, so stays are a little sparse, but please don't be afraid of a longer commute - that's kind of the nature of this wedding! Embrace that mountain driving!

Question

Is Noah going to remember our anniversary??

Answer

I was hoping the 22/2022 thing would help, but he didn't even remember it was his own mother's birthday when we picked the day, so who knows. (Happy 60th Dawn!!!!!!!)

Question

Where should we hike??

Answer

Oh my gosh, PLEASE hang around for some hiking. There's not a bad option in the area. Noah and I hiked up the Silver Dollar Lake Trail (we stopped at Naylor Lake!) looking for ceremony locations and it was AWESOME bang for your buck. It'll open you up in a grandiose valley surrounded by jagged peaks. My dad and Annie are doing Bierstadt on Saturday for anyone brave enough (Bierstadt is a 14er, meaning the peak is over 14,000 ft above sea level.) And the Bierstadt trailhead is actually where we'll be for the ceremony, so you'll know the area come Saturday! ** Please bring appropriate gear for your hike! Common mistakes include bad shoes & lack of water! **
