We were standing in line at our high school orientation waiting to get our picture taken. To kill the time, Haven's mom started talking to Blake's. Our mother's introduced us to each other and later we exchanged contact information. Flash forward to December of that year, Blake told Haven that he was moving to Ridgeland. We stayed in touch all throughout high school but never got to see each other until December 21, 2017. We reunited in Myrtle Beach and stayed together ever since.
On our five year anniversary, it was a normal Wednesday. We both went to work and then came home and got ready to go to dinner to celebrate. I had given up hope that Blake was proposing since Blake is not the type to propose in a crowded setting. On the way home, I jokingly pointed out a jewelry store. Blake laughed and asked what he would need that for and continued driving us home. When we got to the door, Blake said he couldn't find his key which in turn caused me to start freaking out. Then out of nowhere the door unlocked from the inside and Blake opened the door for me to walk in. Candles and rose petals covered the entryway and living room leading up to wooden letters that spelled out "Marry Me." It was the easiest yes of my life!
