October 14th will be forever etched into our memories as the day we first met. Lucky enough for AJ, it's a date he can always remember because it is his birthday. That evening my friend Brittany and I went to “Honey”, a cocktail bar & lounge on Atlantic Ave. I saw Todd, a friend of mine from my days at FSU. I went over to say hello. He was there celebrating a friends birthday. I noticed his tall handsome friend start walking towards us. He introduced himself and I had instant butterflies like never before. From the moment we crossed paths, we were attached at the hip. Dancing and chatting all night. As the evening drew to a close, AJ asked to exchange phone numbers. I saved his number with a heart next to his name. This is something I've never done before. For me, it was love at first sight.

A.J. proposed on September 17th at the Boca Resort. It was the first leg of our vacation which we were set to go to Costa Rica. The first night at the hotel we had reservations for dinner. On the way, we were dropped off at the front of the main hotel where A.J. lured me to the beautiful fountains for a picture. In his typical cheesy romantic fashion, he took two coins out of his pocket and suggested we made a wish. Together, we kissed the coins and tossed them over our heads into the fountain. He asked me what I wished for and I asked him the same. It was then where he told me he wished that we would live a long and loving life together. As he dropped to one knee it was like time stood still and I halfway blacked out. He said the words "Arielle Labiner, will you marry me?" I said YES!
