​It all started just like any other normal day. I was walking through the doors of Superfit gym when someone on the treadmill instantly caught my eye. A young female sporting neon yellow knee high socks in a full stride, like she was pushing for the finish line. Her legs were almost like two glow sticks moving so fast that they blurred the line of illusion and reality. My first thought was, “Wow, her confidence must be high because no one should be wearing those socks in public”. That was the first time I saw Becky, the love of my life. ​After that day, she was dubbed the “Neon Sock Girl”. Little did I know, this Neon Sock Girl was going to be in my life forever. Becky’s polarizing personality and sense of humor captured me like a Venus fly trap. I went to the gym everyday hoping to run into her just to make small conversation. Our flirtatious gym conversations turned into hikes at Valley Green. The hikes eventually lead to our first date at Stone Rose, a restaurant in Conshy. That dinner date was the first of many to come. ​Almost 5 years later, Becky still has the neon socks and I am still trapped like fly.

I first noticed Mike at the gym when I would go to run on the treadmill. Is it creepy to admit that as I ran for miles on the treadmill I would regularly sneak glances at him during his workout? (Yeah, definitely creepy… but good motivation). I guess he kept an eye on me too though, because the back-and-forth glances at each other eventually turned into smiles & "hello's", then into long conversations between workouts, and finally officially dating! Early in our relationship, I decided that I was going to adopt a puppy! I knew that Mike would fall in love with Piper, and I would have effectively charmed him into the love triangle between myself, him, and baby Pipey. We spent everyday since then going on adventures, exploring hiking trails, visiting breweries and making memories. On January 22nd 2022, Mike got down on one knee in front of my friends and family and asked to marry me. I can't wait to marry Mike and build our life together!
