When Jake found a pregnant, stray cat, he posted in a local animal rescue Facebook group looking for help. At the time, Hannah was working as the vice president of a local animal rescue and saw Jake's post. She added Jake on Facebook so that she could offer help with the cat. He ended up finding a different rescue to take the cat, but Hannah and Jake remained Facebook friends. For months, they would like and share each other's posts, but never met or even talked. Finally, eight months later, Jake messaged Hannah on Facebook to ask her out on a date. Hannah said yes, and a few days later, they had their first date at an Irish pub called Fibber Magees. They have been together ever since!
When Jake found out that Hannah's family was planning to take family pictures to use for Christmas cards, he knew it was the perfect opportunity to pop the question. Hannah had told Jake several times that no matter how he proposed, she wanted someone there to take pictures of the special moment. He planned everything with Hannah's mom and sister and made sure that the photographer knew what his plans were. The entire family (Hannah's parents and siblings, as well as Jake's mom) met at the photoshoot location. They started with large group photos, then did sibling pictures, parent pictures, and more. At the end of the photoshoot, Hannah and Jake started posing for couple's pictures. Then Jake got down on one knee and asked Hannah to marry him! After pictures, everyone went back to Hannah's parent's house where they had a small engagement celebration set up. The night could not have been more perfect!
