We met during a country dance the first week of freshman year at Texas Tech. Jose asked Sophia to dance and the rest is history! We started hanging out a week or so after that, and just never stopped <3

We dated throughout the entire four years of college and had the best experience growing up together through all of it. If you've ever been to Lubbock, you know there's not much to it, but we made the best of it. Since there wasn't much to do, our favorite dates in college were picnics! Jose actually built Sophia a picnic table their junior year for her birthday. We would go to our favorite little park about once a week and just hang out, and when we adopted our dog together our senior year, we brought her along too!

In May, Jose and Sophia took a trip to Ireland to visit Sophia's family. On the third day of the trip, while they were at the Cliffs of Moher, Jose popped the question! Sophia was so surprised and so excited! Jose claims he doesn't remember most of the first 2 days of the trip because he was so nervous. We ended up getting to celebrate in Galway afterward and it really was the sweetest day.

Sophia is currently getting her Master's in PA school and Jose is working as a mechanical engineer with Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX. We are so excited to get married and start this next chapter of our life together. We hope we get to celebrate with you and can't wait to begin our marriage surrounded by all of our favorite people!
