Jaime and Phil met at Rollins College in 2016, when Jaime was a freshman and Phil was a Junior, through mutual friends. They started dating on April 2nd, 2017 and loved to spend time together in the picturesque Winter Park, FL between Jaime’s volleyball practices and Phil’s rigorous biochemistry courses. The two were inseparable until he went to grad school for Biomedical Science in Boston in July of 2018. The couple did three years of distance while Phil did his year of grad school at Tufts, a research year at Shock Trauma in Baltimore, MD, and first year of medical school in Chicago and Jaime finished her computer science degree at Rollins and started her career in Denver, CO. Jaime and Phil moved in together in Oak Park, IL in May 2021 and within a month, they got their first French Bulldog, Vinny. Since then, they’ve moved to downtown Chicago, looking over the Chicago river and Lake Michigan. They also got Vinny a little brother, a blue and tan Frenchie named Giuseppe. Phil proposed on April 2nd, 2022 at the Chicago Cultural Center under the Tiffany Dome on their 5 year anniversary. Phil surprised Jaime by inviting both of our families to Chicago to celebrate the engagement. They are so excited to celebrate their marriage on June 1st, 2024 at the beautiful Shinola Hotel in downtown Detroit surrounded by family and friends!
