Denver sits a mile above sea level, and we want to make sure you don't experience any negative side effects of the higher altitude. Make sure to drink plenty of water in the days leading up to traveling, as well as while you're here - it's easier to get dehydrated at high altitude! You also may notice the effects of alcohol faster here, so pace yourselves accordingly. For more high altitude tips, visit: https://tinyurl.com/DenverFAQ.
Shuttles will be available from both Hotel Indigo and Thompson Hotel departing at 3:15 PM. For guests staying elsewhere, and for our local friends, we'll be in touch about which shuttle you should use! Feel free to text us with any questions (601-919-6306). Guests may choose to drive their own vehicle, but please be mindful of the route if you aren't accustomed to driving in the mountains. You may leave cars overnight at the venue, but they must be picked up by 10:00 AM. Uber and Lyft are also easy to use throughout the Denver-metro area, although we cannot predict how many drivers will be available the night of our wedding.
We hope you'll take some time to explore all that Denver has to offer! Check out our map of recommended activities, restaurants, breweries, and much more: https://goo.gl/maps/y5spvGvMsr85X2nd9.
Yes! We've set up a suite in Room 717 at the Thompson Hotel, and we hope you'll come visit us there! The suite will be open on Friday from 4:30-6:30pm and after 9:00pm, Saturday from 2:00-4:00pm and after 9:30pm, and Monday from 9:00-11:30am. One important note: You will need a special key to access the 7th floor, so please text the Jacobs/Cornett families when you're on your way over!
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be adults-only. We hope you'll take this opportunity for a parents' night out!
We are working with Piocare, a local group in Denver that helps families connect with babysitters. If you are interested, please email Maddy Gawler (maddy.gawler@gmail.com) with the subject line "Becci Jacobs and Colin Cornett Wedding". Share a brief job description with Maddy so she has a sense of what you're looking for during the wedding weekend, and she'll follow up about your request. There is a $10 fee for finding a sitter through Piocare, and her babysitters typically charge $18-25/hour.
