Question

Answer

December 9th

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, we really do, but besides immediate family member’s children, they are not invited.

Question

What the heck is a cocktail style reception?

Answer

A cocktail style reception or cocktail dinner is where the format for the evening is like a cocktail party with guests mingling throughout the evening while hors d'oeuvres are passed and well as food stations/bars are set out.

Question

So am I going to be hungry all night?

Answer

No, we sure don't plan on it! We are ordering a lot of food, it will just not be plated and there will not be a set time for everyone to sit down and eat. What we mean by this is that you will have to make a conscious effort to go to the food, make a plate and find a seat or table to eat at. Our hope is that you intermingle, drink, eat and be merry without a formal sit down dinner interrupting your party groove. If you are still worried about being hungry we recommend eating a light dinner beforehand.

Question

Why on earth would you have a wedding like this?

Answer

Honestly, we never really like wedding food and usually don't even eat half of what is on our plate (sorry friends and family recently married). In addition, we feel like the whole formal sit down, talk to strangers at an assigned table, and wait 1.5 hours to mingle and party puts a kink in the night. We hope that you get more time to talk to friends, family and the happy couple this way while getting to choose lots of tasty food to eat.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

There will not be formal plated dinner, but please let us know if you have any food allergies and we will try to me arrangements to make sure your food is not contaminated.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Nope, the GrandStay is less than 400 feet away and the other hotels listed are within a few blocks. Lyft and Uber are available in the Sheboygan area, but have a lower volume of drivers available due to the size of the city.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. There is a parking lot behind the Berkshire and street parking if the lot is full.
