It all started when Bayli inadvertently took an Outward Pursuits experiential education class. What she didn't realize was that this was a small, tight-knit group of sophomores, some of whom had just spent a month together halfway across the world in Nepal. Being the introvert he is, Nathan was taken aback by the seemingly bold entry of this girl into the little world that was his major. Bayli on the other hand was distracted by the first couple of weeks of her freshman year. Unbeknownst to her, Nathan grew increasingly frustrated by her habit of wearing headphones around campus, therefore limiting the opportunities for connection. The roles reversed quickly however when they facilitated an experiential education event for a group of homeschool students as a class project. Bayli quickly took notice of the kind, tall, blue-eyed guy building forts with a bunch of little kids in the woods. Nathan was impressed to discover that Bayli could tie knots and drove a Subaru that was licensed in Washington state. They proceeded to find every chance they could to spend time together, so much so that everyone thought they were dating except for them. After some encouragement from a friend, they decided to make it official on November 25th, 2018. And the rest is history!
