We met in February of 2020. I was still going to SVSU, living in Saginaw. At the time, Logan was living in Caro, working in Bay City. We had matched on a dating website and instantly we connected. We would stay up for hours talking on the phone and texting during the day.
During one of our conversations, Logan had asked me if I could pick anything to eat for a first date what would it be. Without hesitation, I said "Steak and potatoes". That next weekend, he arrived to my apartment in his silver Jeep Cherokee to take me to dinner. Logan took me to Lucky's Steak House in Bay City. Once we were done eating, we started to drive back to my apartment. On the way, Logan leans over and whispers "I don't want this date to end". I smiled and said "It doesn't have too". We spent the next two hours driving around, listening to music, singing and talking.
Logan had planned a day for us in Frankenmuth with his older sister Stephanie and his younger sister Lindsey. We had dinner at Wang Bistro, after eating we drove closer to the the shops downtown. I was under the impression we were doing family pictures, boy was I wrong! During one of our picture together, Ruger (our dog) comes running into the picture with a cute bandana on that said "Mom will you marry my dad?" As I turn to look at Logan, he is down on one knee with and smile on his face. The words, "Will you marry me" came out of his mouth. I could not be more happy, and with a few tears rolling down my face, I said Yes!
