She asked him first. To their senior homecoming dance, that is. His first reaction was to chuckle, because he had planned to ask her later in the day, but she beat him to it. Then, he asked her. To be his girlfriend. They were in a friend's driveway after a movie night and he was surprised that this girl could be so easy to be around. Then, they split up. She was pursuing her dream of becoming a PA and he was headed to school to play football and find his own way. He missed her, and life was better with her around. Nothing was quite right when they were not in each other's lives. Then, they graduated and the pieces fell back into place. They started dating again 4 years later. They managed a long distance relationship building the relationship they always knew was meant to be, TOGETHER. Then, they moved in together... got a cat... then a dog... and then bought a house. Then, he popped the question!

Jacob planned a walk with our pup, Scout, to Wildwood Park where we often take him together. He was adamant that we had to go this busy Saturday at 7:00pm. As we were walking around the Manor House he hyped himself up with several heavy sighs and “all right, babes” to get down on his knee and pop the question. He had a beautiful speech prepared that made me smile ear to ear!

We will both be changing our last name after our wedding and are excited to be Mr. & Mrs. Carnahan
