Although they had known each other for years, a January Sunday Funday at MTK really kicked things off for them. Lora saw Matthew leaning against the DJ booth in a red zip-up hoodie, gray sweatpants, and a gray Ghostbusters hat watching football on the TVs. She walked over and asked him if he wanted to take a shot, to which she didn't give him a choice and ordered Blueberry Vodka (they still celebrate their anniversary with a commemorative shot). After hanging out for a little, they both went back to their friends, but not before Lora said, "You have my phone number, use it." And he certainly did! The next day he texted and asked Lora on a date. They have been together ever since. After nearly six years together, just after midnight on Sunday, January 1st, 2023, Matthew got down on one knee and asked Lora to marry him during the Goo Goo Dolls encore. A surprise to everyone, including their parents! A few hours later they celebrated with family and friends on a Sunday Funday watching football. 🤍 They will be wed on Saturday, March 16th, 2024. The significance? While on vacation in Nashville, TN in March 2018, Lora asked Matthew if he would ever marry her. His response? "Yes, when 3/16 is on a Saturday."
