Hotel Blocks
We have room blocks at three hotels in downtown Austin: Stephen F. Austin, A Loft and Element. They are all across the street from each other! If you would like to stay in an airbnb or a different hotel, please note that the venue is a 15 minute drive from downtown and cannot be accessed by public transportation. Stephen F. Wedding Day Transportation
We are providing Uber vouchers that can be used for transportation to and from Westwood Country Club. The vouchers will be valid from 3:30 PM on September 21st til 12:30 AM on September 22nd. Please plan to call your ride no later than 4:15 PM on September 21st. There are a limited number of vouchers, but they will cover transportation TO and FROM Westwood. Please do not claim more than one voucher per couple or group. We encourage car pooling with other wedding guests staying near each other :) There is parking available at Westwood Country Club. Travel to the United States
Dutch guests who are planning to attend our wedding in Austin will have to apply for a tourist visa (ESTA) prior to travel to the United States. We recommend applying for an ESTA as soon as possible (https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta). Each approved ESTA application is valid for two years. If your passport expires in less than two years, you will receive an ESTA approval valid until the passport's expiration date. Public transportation isn't great in Texas, especially between cities. We therefore recommend to have Austin as your final destination on your flight itinerary. The airport in Austin is called Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. We also recommend that you install a ridesharing app (such as Uber or Lift) on your phone before you travel to Texas as this is the most convenient way to get to your hotel from the airport. Taxis are also available. There is also a public bus (line 20) that can take you from the airport to downtown Austin. You can pay for a Single Ride ($1.25/person) or Day Pass ($2.50/person) with cash in the bus. They will not give you change. You can also buy tickets through the CapMetro app (https://www.capmetro.org/fares-passes/app). Lastly, almost all electronic payments in the United States are done by credit card. Americans rarely use a debit card (betaalpas) for their payments. We recommend that you bring at least one credit card to the U.S. to avoid not being able to pay for services.

Travel to The Netherlands
The easiest way to get to Arcen is to fly to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. You can take a train directly from the airport to Venlo. Venlo is the closest city to Arcen. There is no need to buy a train ticket. You can check in and out for all public transport across the country - including trains, buses, metros, and trams using your contactless credit card from Mastercard or Visa. You can also use your smartphone or smartwatch if you have linked your debit or credit card. It takes about two hours to get from Amsterdam airport to Venlo by train (it also takes two hours by car). Once you are at the train station in Venlo, you can either take a taxi or bus to Arcen. If you are taking the bus, get on bus 83, it usually leaves from platform F. Get off at the following bus stop: Bus stop Rotonde N271, Arcen. The bus ride should take about 20 minutes. The bus used to drop you off right at the town center but they recently moved the bus stop to just outside of town (unfortunately). This means that you will likely have to walk for 10 minutes to get from the bus stop to your hotel.
