Soak in the city from the Stone Arch Bridge - it's our favorite view. Highly recommend grabbing a cup of coffee and making your way to the river walkway trail. You can usually find a scooter along your walk and the trail makes for a great path.
Another fantastic spot for oysters, and pull tabs! We have yet to find a better lobster mac and cheese. This is about a 5 minute walk from the Hewing.
There are a ton of coffee shops in the North Loop - In the Loop coffee is our favorite. It's very close to where we used live at River Station. If you stop in, let them know Bart and Jess sent you!
One of the coolest shops in the city. It's a work of art and worth exploring. There are a lot of fun boutiques right next to each other in this area. It's right behind the Hewing Hotel.
Long time buddy of Bart's opened a sushi joint in the North Loop. Fish is flown in and Billy is one of the country's top purchasers of Japanese A5 wagyu. Worth checking out if time allows. Advance reservations required but you can try your luck at getting a spot at the bar.
This is our go-to spot for delicious food and good vibes. We usually sit at the bar and enjoy Lambrusco with Spicy Salami pizza and Cavatelli. They also have some of the best oysters in the city. This is a 5 minute walk from the Hewing.
You are going to love this indoor golf simulator. It's a bar and restaurant with several golf bays and provided golf clubs. We have been a part of their golf league and enjoy spending the winter afternoons here. Call ahead to reserve a bay. We recommend ordering a spicy margarita and french fries. This is about a 10 minute walk from the Hewing.
They have free hot dogs.
