Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

To avoid interruptions please arrive around 3:45 or earlier! The ceremony starts promptly at 4:00pm. If you are late, the parking attendants will give you special instructions as to not distract by entering the aisle during the ceremony, so please try to be early!

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

While we love the little ones, this is an adult only event. We really hope that this does not deter you from joining us on our special day. Take this night as a date night. Drinks are on us!

Question

How Do I Request A Song?

Answer

The DJ will not be taking requests during the wedding HOWEVER you can go to the link below and enter our wedding date plus the password to suggest songs before the day of the wedding! Feel free to suggest as many as you'd like, but it is up to the DJ if he chooses to play them or not. Link: https://rva.musicdj.com/requests.asp?djidnumber=15113 Password: nbqcysh

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unless previously stated on your formal invitation, there will not be any extra guests. Please understand we have a limited venue capacity. If you feel we missed giving you a plus one, please send a text to Brianna or Spencer as soon as possible and we will let you know if we are able to let you bring a date!

Question

What is parking like at your venue?

Answer

Right as you pull down the long driveway of the venue you will see a large parking area with parking attendants! While the parking area is gravel, there are nice walking paths throughout the rest of the venue.

Question

What happens if we don't RSVP in time?

Answer

We have given every guest a 3 months notice. By this point we have to make final calls for our seating chart, catering and beverage numbers, etc. If you are unable to RSVP by June 14th you will be considered a "no", and we will not have prepared a space for you.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Food allergies can be described when filling out the RSVP form on our website when marking if you will attend the reception. Our caterer is able to accommodate for most allergies (gluten free, peanut allergy, vegan, etc.) but you have to let us know the allergy when you RSVP so that we are able to ask them to make allergy friendly food.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We only ask that everyone dress their best in dressy casual attire. This is a summer wedding but the ceremony will be in grass so you may want to skip the stilettos! There is also a nice breeze at our venue most of the time so ladies may want to consider an up-do or bringing a backup hair tie. If possible, please refrain from wearing whites, blues and champagne colors, as those are the wedding colors. There is no strict dress code.

Question

Are there any rules for the property?

Answer

Yes! Thank you for asking! The venue has a VERY STRICT wine and beer only policy. The contract we signed holds us liable for anyone not following it. This would cause the wedding to end at any point if anyone is: drinking liquor or has liquor anywhere on the site, smokes somewhere other than the designated smoking area, is inappropriate or unsafe towards the staff, or has behavior that gets out of hand. Please do not do anything that could disturb this contract.

Question

What does the day's schedule look like?

Answer

The Ceremony: The Ceremony will start PROMPTLY at 4pm, so please be at the venue, and seated, before 3:45 Social Hour: So that we are able to take photos with our whole bridal party, as well as family after the wedding, social hour will be around 4:30pm until the reception begins at 5:30pm. There are fans and many shaded areas to keep you cool during this time. Reception: We hope everyone can stay as long as they'd like for our reception that begins at 5:30 with first dances, food, and dancing in the barn! Our traditional reception will end at 8pm with a goodbye toast from the couple. Following 8pm, we are inviting the late nighters to stay for an after party with us until 10pm. If you're up for a night of dancing with the music cranked up, you are welcome to stay, but we do not expect you to.

For all the days along the way
