A Decade in the Making

May 16, 2014

You’re probably wondering why we chose to get married on a Thursday. Continue to read our story & see why this date is so special to us. Rose and Chris met briefly back in high school & would often pass each other in the halls. After Chris graduated, they lost touch. But fate had other plans. One day, Rose tweeted about making brownies. Chris couldn't resist the temptation and asked if he could come get one. Rose happily agreed, not knowing that Chris lived just a few streets away. When Chris came to pick up the brownie, Rose was pretty awkward and handed it to him and went to go back inside. Chris, being the suave guy he is, said “what? No hug?”. Rose got butterflies and obliged. Their connection grew, and a few days later Chris took her on their first date. Chris took Rose to a fire watch tower, where they could see the entire city. It was a breathtaking moment. On May 16th, 2014, Chris finally asked Rose to be his girlfriend! Fast forward a decade later, and on their 10-year anniversary, they will be celebrating their love by saying “I Do” surrounded by their loved ones. It's a double celebration, as Chris's 30th birthday follows the next day. They've always marked their anniversaries with trips, but this year, their wedding will be the ultimate celebration of their love story. We cannot wait to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, wedding, and chriss 30th with all of our favorite people! Fun Fact: We have an affinity for art galleries & Italian food, so true to who we are as a couple, we wanted to bring you along to two of our favorite spots!
