We Eloped!

We were so excited to get married, that we just did it! Our day started at Fulton County Courthouse where we exchanged our vows alongside our parents, Bernie and Lani Schom, Melissa and Joe Hatchett, Levi's sister, Brooke Schom, and Babette's grandfather Paul Hatchett and uncle Scott Huth. We celebrated with incredible photos by Caroline Stephens of Atlanta, GA and then dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Chops Lobster Bar. Small, intimate, and easy is exactly what we wanted for our ceremony. We have been loving married life and getting to introduce each other as "My Wife" and "My Husband"! We feel blessed beyond words and cannot wait to share this beautiful life together, forever. We cant wait to celebrate with all of you, but for now we are enjoying the peace of marriage! Levi and Babette met on Bumble in February 2019. After their first date, they both knew they wouldn't be single for much longer. They had their first road trip to Nashville, TN in March 2021 where they learned so much about each other and explored the city together for the first time! Their parents would describe their love as infectious and they were always laughing having way too much fun. After one year of dating, the pandemic hit. Babette moved in to Levi's apartment to quarantine together. Her first item moved was her ice cream spoon followed by a closet full of clothes. Quarantine brought the couple even closer together than ever before. They shared their days by going on walks, working out, cooking Hello Fresh meals, long days of skateboarding and dancing, intense Beat Saber competitions, and movie/show marathons. At the end of quarantine they felt like they came out stronger than ever and knew if they could make it through this, they could make it through anything! Since then, Levi and Babette moved into their home in Brookhaven, GA where their pups can run wild and lots of weekends are spent watching football and cooking food. They have enjoyed the work that is living in a house and have made many memories in their 1.5 years living there. One of their favorites being Levi's proposal in the living room! Levi proposed on April 18th, 2022 after shopping for the perfect ring with Babette's dad, Joe Hatchett. Levi was so excited, he couldn't wait and knew that if he really wanted to catch her off guard, this was the way to do it! He came home while Babette was painting the bathroom and popped the question in the living room. After going back and forth on what the couple wanted their wedding to be like, they finally decided that they wanted to elope in a small courthouse ceremony with just family. December 22, 2022 is their best day yet! They made lifelong memories and enjoyed the simplicity and relaxation that was their wedding day. They are thankful for the love their families have for each other and are elated to officially all be one family. If you know anything about the Schom and Hatchett family, you know they all love a good party! They can't wait to have their reception with the rest of their family and friends in Summer 2023. They are beyond excited to share this day with loved ones traveling from Ohio, Texas, Florida, Colorado, Illinois, California, and of course their local Georgia guests!
