I had just gotten off work, it was a random Tuesday near Christmas in 2021. I was making a puzzle for my Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas in our family room, while James was busy and about to hop in the shower. I saw him run upstairs and he came back down with a bouquet of roses! I was surprised about the flowers, I said thank you and I went into my room to grab a vase to put them in and when I turned around James was on one knee asking me to marry him whilst being in a t-shirt and boxers. I guess he decided last minute that he was just going to ask! Why wait right?! Lol. James never fails to make me laugh and will always keep me on my toes. I am so lucky to have found the best man to spend the rest of my life with. I will look forward to laughing and joking and just being plain old goofy with him in the best of times and in the worst of times. ❤️ I love you James!
My favorite memory of James was probably a year or so after we were together. It was summertime, and we were at his parents house in the backyard. I believe James’ aunt Marcy was over and we were sitting at the red picnic table they used to have and had been talking about something. The whole time Marcie and I were talking I was watching James in the pool, singing and dancing and making funny faces at me. In that moment I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. Being able to have your best friend as your life partner is something I will never take for granted. A day without laughter is a day wasted. All the days I get to spend with James will never be wasted.
