What started as study sessions turned into a fast friendship and a love to last a lifetime. Samantha and Derek both graduated VTC together in 2016.

At sunset on a Friday, on what seemed to be a normal trip to visit the monuments in DC, Derek got down on one knee in front of hundreds of witnesses at the Lincoln Memorial and asked Samantha to spend the rest of their lives together. After they celebrated in Alexandria at their favorite seafood restaurant Hank's Seafood and Oyster Bar.

After living in separate locations due to work for almost two years Derek and Samantha made the decision to pack up and relocate to a small city right outside Raleigh, NC. They have found a home in the South are looking forward to what new adventures lay ahead.
