We actually went to high school together! Gravette was so small that we both knew of each other, but we never exchanged any words. Years after graduation, we both happened to be out on the town one night when his friends recognized me and my brother recognized him. The rest is pretty much history!

Our 3 year anniversary was quickly approaching, so we made reservations to try a restaurant in the-middle-of-nowhere Missouri. We arrived early and decided to go inside for a pre-dinner drink. It was extraordinarily full with locals, so Avery led me over to grab an open table, but as we got closer, I realized the "locals" were actually our family members. I turned around to tell him that the odds of our family trying the same restaurant on the same night as us were astronomical, but Avery had already knelt to the ground to pop the question!
