If you have an hour or two, we recommend a self-guided tour at the Old Court House Museum. The Museum provides a fuller glimpse into life in Vicksburg before, during, and after the Civil War and complements the tour of the park.
For a coke float and (very) short tour, stop by the Biedenharn Coca-Cola Museum to see the first place Coca-Cola was ever bottled.
Enjoy the best cup of coffee in Vicksburg downstairs at Highway 61 before exploring the Attic Gallery upstairs, which showcases local and Southern art. The Gallery's owner says it best: "If you like the unusual than you will love The Attic."
The 35th Over the River Run will be held the morning of October 14, with the race route cutting through downtown Vicksburg along Washington street. If you're interested in participating, registration information is located on the website link below. The five-mile race and five-mile walk begin at 8:00 am at the Old Mississippi River Bridge located at I-20, and Washington Street crosses the Old Mississippi River Bridge and ends back at Warren County State Welcome Center. A one-mile fun run will follow, and entertainment and refreshments will be provided for all participants at the Ameristar Delta Point parking lot.
