We met on Hinge. We both swiped right ... or was it left? Whichever direction means "I'd be willing to brave the unknown--the potential catfishery, absent chemistry, awkward silence--to get to know this person." And so we met: two small-town-farm-kids--at an Italian-Peruvian restaurant in Boston's North End. Random. Avery was in business school and Cliff was in business. There wasn't much time in between. Cliff was also bad at texting. Avery also held a grudge. But somehow we found the time to play marathon rounds of chess, bar crawl through cambridge, cook canned food "bunker" dinners, wax poetic on who would better survive a zombie apocalypse, and fall deeply and truly in love. Through business school, road warrior careers, snowbird travel from Boston to Miami, and continuous packing and unpacking of our possessions into cardboard boxes, we built a life together -- a life that felt like the beginning of something timeless. And so it was an easy "yes" when Cliff asked Avery to marry him in a broken canoe, moments from capsizing into the pond on her family farm. And that's where you come in... We hope you'll join us come May at that same farm, to celebrate our love and to help us start married life off right: dancing and drinking and dreaming with our favorite people on this earth.
