We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! We are requesting cocktail attire, meaning this is an opportunity to grab your favorite heels, a suit and tie, and get dolled up without having to go all out with formal tuxes and floor-length gowns. Our wedding is a fun, fancy event! So show us your best looks!
All we ask is that you please avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride such as white, ivory, and cream! If you would like to dress in theme with the wedding (and only if you want to!), we would love to see you in your favorite Autumn color.
We kindly ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early for the ceremony so you have time to get seated and settled in plenty of time for the event to begin when scheduled.
YES! The venue previously did not have parking, however there has been some changes, and they now partner with the nearby elementary school to use their lot. Arbory’s main entrance can be found on Grand Ave through the painted double doors. While there is still a bit of construction on Grand Ave, you can find free street parking along Grand Ave and on the residential streets nearby such as Oakley, Leavitt, Race, or Hubbard Streets. The hosts have also rented a parking lot at 2233 W Race St. at Mitchell Elementary School. If you have any additional parking questions, please email the venue at info@thearborychicago.com or call at 773-217-9748.
No you will not! Both the ceremony and reception are being held at the same venue, The Arbory Chicago. When the ceremony has concluded, the ceremony space will be set up for a brief cocktail hour, and later all guests will be guided to the other side of the venue for the reception. Both spaces are fully indoors!
Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a card or small gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
This is a GREAT question, and thanks for asking! Due to personal preferences, Jackson and Averi will be both be keeping their last names and Averi will be maintaining the formal title "Ms.". This means even after the wedding we will be "Dr. Jackson Maurer and Ms. Averi Beck"! But "Averi & Jackson", "The Bride and Groom", and "The Newlyweds" all work just fine! :)
The last day to RSVP to the wedding was September 9th! If you have not already RSVP'd for the event, we are unable to save a seat in your honor.
Being that we are both vegan, we have opted to have a vegan wedding! All food and drink offered will be animal-product free :) We will be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour followed by a seated dinner and dessert during the reception. There will also be an open bar with a selection of beer, wine, and spirits for both cocktail hour and reception. Please indicate your choice of an entrée for dinner when you RSVP!
We, unfortunately, cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity and our desire for a more intimate event, we can only allow the people named on your invitation. Your invitation will be made out to "{Your name} & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you.
