The baraat is an Indian tradition meant to bring the groom to the wedding venue to meet the bride's family with much pomp and fervor. The groom is usually seated on a ceremonial horse (or an elephant, chariot, or vintage car) as his guests lead the way, dancing. In this case, where the wedding takes place within a hotel, the baraat will start at the hotel entrance and will end at the banquet hall entrance.
