Question

How important is the Spartan Race?

Answer

We have planned our whole wedding around the Spartan Race. We REALLY want everyone to join us on the course and "race" with us. You do not have to be an athlete to join us. We want everyone there on the trail with us. We will be walking together and helping each other complete the obstacle. It is a 5K race with 20 obstacles. Please try to be prepared to walk a 5K on rough uneven terrain.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts right at 5:45. Please arrive so that you can be seated and ready before that time.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The wedding colors are dark greens and dark brown if you want to be in the color scheme. The dress code is not formal and not casual. Wear what you might if you were dressing up for church, Easter Sunday or Christmas Eve service. Dress jeans ok for men.

Can I bring a date?

Please check your invitation or the RSVP section. If you have a plus one, yes you can. If not, please chat with us.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, kids are not invited to the wedding (other than specific family members). Please find someone to care for your kiddos while you are at the wedding.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

If you would like to stay in Fort Worth for the weekend we are staying at Jellystone in Burleson. This is about 15 min from the wedding venue and an hour away from the race. For reference Granbury is 2 hrs from Frisco/McKinney. Please see the Travel tab for more information. There are also several hotels by the venue if that makes more sense for you.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are only serving one option for dinner. If you are gluten free let us know on the RSVP. Other than that please make arrangements for yourself if you can not eat hamburgers/cheeseburgers.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is onsite parking at the wedding venue. There is also onsite parking at the Spartan Race. If you are staying at Jellystone we will try to shuttle everyone in as cars are $10 per car per night.

Is there transportation to and from Jellystone to the ceremony?

Answer

No, please be prepared to provide your own transportation to the wedding venue, the Spartan Race and Jellystone if you are staying.
