Spending two years in the same high school, surrounded by mutual friends, yet never coinciding paths is a reminder of life's unpredictable nature. It's fascinating how proximity alone does not always lead to encounters, showcasing the intricate dance of fate and timing in our lives. In August 2016, our paths crossed in Hastings Mutual Insurance Company's lobby. Soon after, friend requests were exchanged on Facebook, leading to Messenger chats. From there, our connection developed quickly. Within a short span of six months, Skyler met my daughter Claire, and together, we moved into our first rental house. Soon after, Xena, our dog, became part of the family. The following year, River was born, and the sisters began to develop a special bond. Watching them grow has been a beautiful journey, filled with joy and shared moments of love and happiness. Having our children present when Skyler proposed to me on September 20th, 2020, added a beautiful touch to the moment. The involvement of our kids made the occasion even more memorable and heartwarming. In 2021, we continued to create cherished memories with our loved ones. Celebrating our five-year anniversary with our first wedding on December 17th marked another significant moment in our journey together. These special times shared with our children and family members have enriched our lives and brought us closer together. Starting our journey in a new home in Otsego right after the wedding was a nice change for us. In nearly eight years, we've filled our lives with countless adventures and valuable life lessons. These experiences are the foundation of our shared life together and have undoubtedly shaped our bond over the years.
