We met in 2013 in our senior year of high school and started dating in the last few weeks before graduation. We spent the summer together and when the summer ended, we decided to see where it went. Rebecca moved to Harrisonburg, Virginia to attend James Madison University and Austin moved to Downtown Richmond, Virginia to start at Virginia Commonwealth University. Since then we have been absolutely vibing, thriving, and hitting major milestones together. In the 10 plus years that we've been together we've gotten degrees, bought a house, adopted a dog, and now we're getting hitched!

In March of 2019, we moved in together in a pretty apartment in the Museum District in Richmond.

In March of 2021, we bought our dream home in the Historic Jackson Ward in Richmond.

In April of 2021, we adopted Gus from Wolf Trap Animal Rescue and our family was complete!

After nine years of dating, we got engaged in August of 2022. Austin proposed while we were taking a walk on the beach. He faked a foot injury and got down on one knee. As I was yelling at him for not wearing the right shoes, he asked me to marry him! Don't worry, Austin still introduces Rebecca as his roommate when meeting new people.
