Welcome to our forever!

We met on the 14th floor of Manchester Hall at Illinois State University during Taylor’s freshmen year and Austin’s sophomore year. We started out as two college kids learning to navigate this new lifestyle we had just entered into: living away from home for the first time, doing our own laundry, living on our own schedule, meeting new friends, etc. Through our first two years of college, we began a friendship that would later turn into a relationship. Deep down we always knew there was something special between us as we progressed from floor mates, to best friends and soon became inseparable. We could always be found hanging out in each other's dorm rooms, working out together, watching White Sox games, and catching meals at the dining center. It wasn’t until August 24th, 2014 that we started dating, we have shared countless memories and adventures together ever since.

One thing that was on our bucket list for a while was to attend White Sox Spring Training in Glendale, Arizona. Before the 2019 baseball season, we booked what Taylor thought was just a vacation to AZ to see the White Sox play. Little did she know, Austin had a few surprises for their trip. Austin first surprised Taylor by having her parents fly down and join us on what Taylor still thought was a normal vacation. On the second day of vacation, we attended our first spring training game. One thing we enjoy doing before every baseball game we attend is to go down to the field and take a picture together. Before the spring training game was about to begin Austin said to Taylor let's go take a picture down by the field. Little did Taylor know this would be the most special picture down by a baseball field they would take. As we started to take a picture, instead of posing for the picture Austin got down on one knee and proposed! We couldn't imagine a more perfect place to get engaged then a White Sox game! We're so excited to celebrate our special moment with you all!
