What's the Dress Code?

Answer

University Club of Chicago - because our venue is a private club, there are a few unique rules to be mindful of. There is a no jeans policy at the club for guests. Welcome Party - Cocktail dresses for women and Sport Jackets for men are encouraged. Ceremony and Reception - To honor our special day, we kindly request that our guests adhere to a full Black tie dress code. A tuxedo should be your first choice, or a classic, elevated black suit with a black bow tie. For those wearing a dress, a full-length evening gown is the norm. Please visit the link below for further wedding guest attire inspiration we'd love to see our guests in! https://pin.it/1EYUK67 Additional Club Dress Code to be mindful of during the weekend for guests staying at the Club and attending events: Appropriate for all areas of the clubhouse— except for the Presidents’ Bar. Tops: • Collared shirts encouraged, elevated t-shirts permitted; graphic tees are not permitted • No hoodies or gym wear Bottoms: • Fitted trousers and non-denim shorts are permitted; jeans are not permitted. • Bottoms must be in good repair and non-distressed • Shorts, no shorter than mid-thigh length Shoes: • Clean and scuff-free shoes or boots • Non-athletic sneakers permitted • Women permitted to wear open-toed sandals • No flip-flops or hiking boots Accessories: • No hats

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Aside from our closest family members, we kindly request that children do not participate in our special day. We are happy to assist in coordinating care for your little loved ones!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be no additional transportation to and from hotels to the ceremony.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests arrive between 30 and 15 minutes before the ceremony begins.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Formal wedding invitations will indicate if each respective guest is welcome to invite a plus one guest.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
