We are college sweethearts who met on our track team at SBU. Like most couples, we had our bumps in the road and grew as individuals for a short time. Austin went to training in Quantico, VA to become an infantry officer for the United States Marine Corps (and he did!). As for me... well I was kind of all over the place! I was still in school at SBU at the time Austin went to training. Once I graduated, I moved out west to Montana and ultimately ended up staying out there to pursue a job opportunity. This distance kept us apart for a while and it was really tough! However, we could not stay away from each other! The distance became nothing, because our love for one another was so incredibly strong. Needless to say, we found our way back to each other and our hearts are fuller than ever before. In the time apart we grew in so many different ways that allowed us to find the kind of love and relationship that we did not have before. Because of this we are able to be a better and more supportive spouse to the other. Austin and I have been through so much in our time together and we are still so young. But all of the experiences (the chaos and the distance) have shown us just how strong, unconditional, and enduring our love is. We are so incredibly blessed that God's plan was for our paths to cross. Through our journey we have learned to always look to Him for guidance and we hope to continue glorifying Him through our marriage.
