Do I need a tourist card?

Answer

Yes. Travelers are advised to fill out the online Multiple Immigration Form/Tourist Card, which replaces the paper form handed out by most airlines. The form must be completed per person and printed out to be presented with the passport, in order to speed up the immigration process. https://www.inm.gob.mx/fmme/publico/en/solicitud.html

Do I need a COVID test before returning to the US?

Answer

Yes. You will need to have a negative COVID test before returning to the United States. Tests are available locally and at the airport. What You Need to Know If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get a COVID-19 viral test (regardless of vaccination status or citizenship) no more than 1 day before you travel by air into the United States. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel). https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html

Where can I get a COVID-19 test to return back to the United Sates?

Answer

Covid tests to return to the US are available on many corners of 5th avenue and in downtown laboratories . Tests are about $20-$35 USD. Most will send you the results in 30 min to your email. Two sites we recommend are within a block of Antera Hotel. Do I need a negative COVID-19 test before the wedding?

Answer

Despite not needing a negative test to come into Mexico, we are kindly asking all guests to have a negative COVID test prior to attending the wedding. COVID testing is readily available in downtown areas and the airport. Home rapid tests are also acceptable.

Will there be a hotel shuttle?

Answer

The hotel provides a shuttle service for $65 USD. Please let the hotel know if you would like a round trip service or one way. We do not recommend taking taxis from the airport. ADO bus is another popular option in the area and is about $11 USD round trip. The drop off location for the ADO bus is about a 6 minute walk to Antera Hotel. We have a shuttle service planned for the day of the wedding scheduled to transport guests to and from Antera Hotel. More info coming soon.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Beach formal. The reception will be held on venue gardens so no need to worry about sand. Please no shorts, flip-flops or t-shirts. The ceremony and reception will both be held outside.

Do I need a passport to travel to Mexico?

YES! If you do not have a passport, prepare your passport as soon as possible! Expect significant delays of several months due to COVID-19. If you already have a passport, don't forget to double check it does not expire within 6 months of your travel dates. We love ALL of your children, however we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand!

Do I need to get Cash or Pesos for the trip to Mexico?

Answer

We recommend bringing cash or withdrawing pesos from the ATM once you arrive. You will need US cash or local currency for payment of services such as taxis and gratuities, as not all take credit card. Using pesos will get you the best pricing due to exchange rates. Please be aware of international fees with certain transactions. You can check the exchange rate online for current exchange rates. If traveling to Tulum post wedding, you will more likely need cash.

What dates should we travel?

Answer

This decision is personal based on you! We suggest Thursday, May 26th to Monday May 30th. Monday is a holiday! We will be staying longer (May 24-June 4) as will many other guests, so feel free to lengthen your stay and join us while adventuring around Mexico.
