Audrey and Bruce met in 2014 working at Paycom. While the two were in different work social circles, their paths crossed frequently throughout the years. Audrey discovered Bruce hated when people responded to "How's it going?" with "Living the dream." and well... she went out of her way to tell him often. Audrey and Bruce's friendship and soon relationship grew stronger over a love of mustache jokes, the bowling league, and a love for the IRS.

The proposal started with a casual fib about going to dinner, but in actuality it was all planned out. We drove to Vast on the guile of celebrating a new job announcement and using a gift card to pay for dinner and spent the whole ride downtown listening to yes, Good Charlotte of course. Bruce drove to the wrong parking garage because he was nervous, but we still made it on time for our reservation. When we came to our private room, we shared a dirty martini and a view of the city from up high. The proposal happened while my back was turned as we looked at the city below and then we shared a moment before the night continued with dinner and a celebration with our friends.
