Get in a game of every Austinite’s favorite past time—pickleball! Bouldin Acres has multiple pickleball courts to reserve and serves a mean cocktail. Try the cherry limeade!
Paperboy
This is one of our favorite brunch spots! You need reservations weeks in advance, but it’s well worth it. We recommend the Paperboy pancake, the Texas hash, and the ricotta toast!
Nixta Taqueria
Upscale tacos for people who want something authentic to Austin, but different from Tex-Mex. The chef has won a James Beard award, so you know it’s amazing. We recommend the tuna tostada and the duck carnitas taco!
Cosmic Saltillo
The most beautiful coffee shop and outdoor garden! Also has breakfast tacos and cocktails. We recommend trying the Liquid Sunshine—trust us.
Small Victory
Austin is well known for its abundant speakeasies—Here is one of our favorites! We love Small Victory because you no longer need a reservation (though you can book one, if you want a guaranteed spot). Plus, the cocktail menu is incredibly impressive.
P6 at the LINE Austin
P6 is a gorgeous rooftop, open-air bar located at The LINE hotel. Make a reservation in advance, and try to book it to see the sunset over Lady Bird Lake.
Olamaie
If you're staying a few nights in Austin, and want a "knock your socks off" dinner, try Olamaie. It recently won a Michelin star for a good reason. We love going here for anniversaries and special occasions. Its sister restaurant, Maie Day, is an equally delicious (and slightly less pricy) chop house located conveniently on South Congress—perfect for sightseeing!
