Matron of Honor
Hey there! This is Ashley, Aubrey's sister and the Matron of Honor! I met Aubrey back in the spring of 95'. Like many sisters, we shared a lot of things, including clothes. Aubrey would say "shared," I would say "stole," but that is neither here nor there. I am happy to support Aubrey and share another article of clothing, a white dress (as long as it isn't mine 😉).

My favorite memory with Aubrey is definitely when we walked on the beach in Isle of Palms. It was about 9-10 o'clock at night, but there was plenty of light from the restaurants, hotels, and houses that backed up to the sand dunes. We ended up talking and walking for a mile or so before we decided to go back to the hotel where the others were. It was a relaxing hour or so where we caught up, shared personal experiences, and talked about our futures. The ocean breeze was pretty fabulous, too.

It’s impossible to pick just one memory with Aubrey. My favorites come in flashes, in moments of laughter, silliness, confidence, and slay vibes. From our walks to the mailbox, gym bro workouts with chest bumps and dancing, our study sessions in the library (that time you sang yourself happy birthday)… I am so grateful we became friends at UNCC and grew close over those four years. Our adventures in New York City are countless and really the pictures speak for themselves (do you even bowl bro?) No matter how long it’s been, it never feels like time has passed. I am so grateful for Aubrey as one of my best friends, and am so excited to be by her side on this very special day.

Aubrey and I have been friends for a VERY long time and, as you can imagine, I find it very difficult to sift through all of our amazing memories together to pick just one. I guess that’s the down side of having such an amazing friend. But if I had to choose my favorite memory with Aubs took place on a cold night in January 2015. It was late and under our somewhat questionable judgement at the time, we decided that we NEEDED Cook Out and that we were going to get there by walking… all the way across campus. I was under the impression that the Cook Out tray I planned to order would be the highlight of my night, but I was very much wrong. The highlight of my night was the walk to that cook out. It was filled with skipping, running, and singing at the top of our lungs, but the best part of it all was sneaking onto the football field. That’s right, we figured out that we could fit under the gate and that it was meant to be. So, we scurried under that gate and chaos followed. I have never had so much fun running and dancing all across a football field, ever. I can still play it back in my mind and it brings me so much joy and happiness. And that’s how almost everything with Aubrey goes, It might be an everyday thing, but she makes it a fun memorable adventure. I’m lucky to have her and I’m so excited to stand up there beside her on such a special day. P.S. We did make it to Cook Out and back home safely that night.
Best Man
Aldo and I, opening Pokemon cards and being able to get a couple of old school cards. We have been collecting and opening cards for over two years now, and still get excited like little kids when we get a super rare card in our hands. I swear it's an investment though.
Groomsman
Many of my fondest memories with Osvaldo or as I know him "Phozo" come from the many sports that we competed with and against each other in throughout our athletic careers. From middle school football to collegiate track and field, it has always been a constant but friendly battle that of course over the years solidified a true friendship. One competition specifically, was the High School Conference Championship in the 110m hurdles. We both showed our commitment towards excellence and the determination to help our team succeed. We ended up finishing 1st and 2nd in the competition as a result. We have always pushed each other to be the best versions of ourselves and I will always be grateful for one of my oldest friendships.

Our story is simple but definitely eventful along the way. Ozzie and I always had our big group of friends to be around and hangout with. From photography at night to late night shenanigans at Ale’s bar. The place I met everyone and got to know as good friends. Between Blake (Bodie), Ozzie and I they showed me all the ropes to photography and videography and definitely learned from some of the best at UNCC. We always hung out with our group of friends and had a great time but one day that stood out the most to me was during the week after getting out of class Ozzie asked me to go out and shoot some photos on the greenway. The very first time when it was just me and him and no one else out. But from that day on I knew how great of a friendship we would have just from the short time of photos and great laughs. I could never replace the memories or laughs we have had plus all the stupid but yet hilarious inside jokes we have. To be asked to be one of his groomsmen was a big honor to me, which I only asked him the same exact favor to be in mine.

One day I am sitting in the Belk courtyard outside my dorm and someone comes up to me out of the blue and asks if I am flying a drone, why yes I am, I replied and we began to chat, little did we know how big of an impact this would make over our college career and lifelong friendship! The best kind of ship! (Don’t worry Ozzie, we’re not going in the ocean again) Ozzie and I soon after began running everywhere and anywhere with cameras, drones, and equipment, having a time the entire way. One of my favorite memories was when Ozzie invited me onto the field to video for UNCC at our first ever night game. Thousands of people, tv cameras, skydivers, what a crazy night. Ozzie was cool, calm, and organized and I was trying to keep up! I ran around that field for hours trying to capture every angle I could with out accidentally running into a player or the coach, But what an amazing time capturing history. That is a day I will not forget. I even have the press pass hanging up next to my diploma today. These adventures continued and our cameras followed along the whole way. Charlotte to Florida and in between, and one of the best parts is that we still have those memories saved, filed in Lightroom and Premier capturing friendships and life.
