COVID-19 & FAQ's

We can't wait to celebrate with you! Please see the below for our current COVID-19 wedding guidelines, as well as other important information. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Question

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Answer

For the safety of all our loved ones, we are currently requiring all guests in attendance to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Please get vaccinated to protect yourself and those around you.

Question

Do we need to take a COVID-19 test prior to the wedding?

Answer

Yup! We’re asking all of our guests to take a PCR test 48 hours before, or a lateral-flow test on the day of. Note: this is being done on the honor system, but we trust that you’re honorable. ;) We also encourage everyone to take reasonable health and safety precautions when traveling to and from our wedding. BTW - you can order free COVID testing kits here: https://special.usps.com/testkits.

Question

I'm vaccinated and tested negative, but not feeling great. Can I still come?

Answer

Although we would love nothing more than to party with you, if you are presenting with COVID-19 symptoms, we kindly ask that you stay home and get better!

Question

Are Masks Required?

Answer

The entire event from start to finish is outdoors, so at this time (4/8/22) we will not be requiring guests to wear face masks. Please understand, however, that this is subject to change. Feel free to take any health precautions (like wearing a mask) that will help you feel safe and present at our wedding.

Question

What if I have Dietary Restrictions?

Answer

Dinner is being served Family Style, but individuals with dietary restrictions may get their own meal. If you have any restrictions of note, please reach out to us ASAP!

Question

What about Parking?

Answer

The Private Residence where we are celebrating our wedding is on a quiet small town street with no street parking, so we recommend alternate methods of transportation (Uber/Lyft, Public Transportation, Carpooling). If you do plan on driving, please find parking information below: Free parking will be available at a nearby church (address listed below), and a directional sign will be placed at the entrance to the lot. Shuttle buses from the lot to the Estate will be departing every 10 minutes starting at 3:00 PM. If arriving at the venue before 3:30 PM, you may have to wait outside the gates for a short while until the doors open. The parking lot is a 1 minute drive to the venue. ReNew United Methodist Church 699 Monterey Rd. South Pasadena, CA 91030

Question

Can we take Public Transit to the Venue?

Answer

Totally! While LA isn’t known for it’s super connected public transportation, the venue is conveniently located 2 blocks from the South Pasadena Metro Station (Gold Line). This line connects one way into Pasadena and the other way into Highland Park and Downtown Los Angeles.

Question

What's the Dress Code?

Answer

Garden Party Chic!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Doors will open around 3:30pm, and please do not arrive later than 3:55pm.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are! Please see the "Registry" tab located at the top of this page.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we do not have the space to provide everyone with a plus one. Please refer to the name(s) on the invitation. Feel free to reach out to us for further clarification.

Question

Can you tell me more about the venue?

Answer

Wynyate is a historic house in South Pasadena, California, U.S.. It was built circa 1887 for Donald M. Graham, the first mayor of Pasadena, and his wife, author Margaret Collier Graham. It was designed in the Victorian architectural style. Authors Mary Hunter Austin and Charles Fletcher Lummis were frequent guests, as was John Muir, who planted a eucalyptus tree in the garden in 1889. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since April 24, 1973. The current residents are family friends of the Blatts and have been incredibly generous in allowing us to use their home for our special day.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that everyone RSVP's by March 15th.

For all the days along the way
