The groom is a lifelong member of St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, and the bride is a lifelong member of the New Apostolic Church. To honor both of their faith traditions, they have chosen to have two wedding ceremonies on the same day. The first will be led by the Bishop from the bride’s church, and the second will be officiated by the Priest from the groom’s church. This meaningful celebration allows them to honor their backgrounds and the communities that have shaped them.
We do not expect guest to attend both ceremonies and look forward to seeing you when we do. We designed the itinerary to allow for the additional ceremony in place of a long photo session.
Since there is no New Apostolic Church in Canton, we knew we needed a venue close to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church to allow for easy travel between ceremonies. We chose the Canton Palace Theatre for the first ceremony, as it is only a five-minute drive from the Greek church.
As soon as the ceremony at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church concludes, we invite you to walk downstairs to the Alex D. Krassas Banquet Center, which is attached to the church. The cocktail reception will begin immediately following the service.
Once the wedding ceremony at the Canton Palace Theatre concludes, we invite all our guests to join us outside for a group photo. After the photo, popcorn will be available in the theater lobby, and guests are welcome to relax in the theater or check into their hotel, which is just five minutes away. The theater doors will close by 3:30 PM to allow guests time to travel to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, a short five-minute drive away. This will ensure everyone has time to park and find their seats before the second ceremony begins at 4:00 PM.
