Where It Started

July 2018 - San Diego

Abby and her friend Kristy were out for Friday Night Tequila Mules at the infamous Tavern in Pacific Beach. Adam had just got a fresh haircut, was wearing his favorite cologne and the beautiful Abby caught his eye from across the bar. He introduced himself and somehow talked the girls into joining his softball team. Abby was hesitant, but about a month later, Kristy convinced her to show up to the softball field. Little did Adam and Abby know, they would soon become the A Team. The rest is history!

How It Happened

November 2019 - Chicago

Once Adam knew he was ready he called Abby's amazing parents Jim and Lori for permission, then him and his beautiful mother Debbie went ring shopping in Indio, CA. Abby was already in Illinois for her late Nana's funeral, so Adam flew out to be with her as soon as he could. Little did Abby know this tough time in her life was about to be turned upside down. They spent the night in Chicago, and woke up on the cool morning of November 26th, 2019. After a day of sight seeing Adam led Abby to the Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park, which just so happened to be completely empty. Just as he envisioned. After Adam caught his nerves he got down on one knee, and asked her to be with him forever. Abby was eventually able to catch her breath and let out a YES!! Luckily there was one passer by who was able to snap some pictures of the moment. Abby, still in shock, asked "what am I supposed to do?" the passer by sarcastically chuckles and says "just look engaged huh." They proceeded to celebrate with a night on the town, then into Dixon Illinois to celebrate with Abby's family.
