Wedding Party

James Macke

Groom

Rachel Morgeson

Bride

Sam Kunkler

Best Man

Sam and Jamie became best friends in the second grade. With shared interests in many video games (most notably pokemon), board games, and outdoor activities, their friendship thrived throughout grade school and middle school. After going off to different high-schools, they reconnected quickly in college, where they would proceed to play pokemon, participate in service events, and attend social gatherings. Today, Sam and Jamie's friendship is as strong as ever with game nights, parties, and trips to Louisville. When Sam isn't studying for his next actuary exam, he enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his friends. He's both excited and honored to be involved with and help out Jamie and Rachel on their big day!

Zak Caudill

Man of Honor

Zak has been best friends with the bride since the sixth grade, spending an entire childhood playing video games, watching silly youtube videos, listening to pop punk music, and getting into shenanigans together. Their friendship remained strong despite attending college in separate states, where Zak pursued a degree in traditional animation and fiction writing at Columbia College Chicago. They have worked a series of odd jobs in Chicago as a Broadway theater usher, random pop up experiences, bookstores, and furniture repair and restoration. Rachel continues to be the only thing they like about Ohio (besides the chili of course).

Groomsman

Kayla LaVerne

Bridesmaid

I met both Jamie and Rachel in college through different classes, but we really didn’t get to know each other until hanging out through a mutual friend. Now I love being around them. Since college I started working at a flavor house and love to bring over samples for Rachel and Jamie to try. I enjoy playing video games, cooking, and hanging out with my two cats.

Dave Daugherty

Groomsman

Jamie and David first met while serving on Camp Staff at Camp Friedlander in 2016. While they worked in different areas, they bonded while patrolling Lake Marge Schott together during the Thursday night fishing derby. In 2017, they both worked on Aquatics staff, and their bond grew even closer. Even after camp came to an end that summer, they remained close. Through Alpha Phi Omega, they continued to grow together, even planning an interchapter event to connect the APO chapters of Delta Alpha at UC and Alpha Gamma Phi at NKU, a partnership that continues to this day. As a result of this relationship, David met Rachel at an AGP chapter meeting in 2019. Together, the three of them have caused mischief, gone on marvelous misadventures, and made lasting memories. David is proud to be by their side on their big day.

Courtney Switzer

Bridesmaid

When you transfer from one college to another, it can be a little daunting. You're in a completely new environment and everyone has known everyone since freshman year. Well luckily, I ended up having multiple classes with Rachel! While we're both very introverted, she welcomed me into her circle and our friendship started to grow. My favorite time was our daily coffee breaks after class, before going to work in the lab. Especially after exams, those were dark times. Rachel and Alex eventually convinced me to join their service fraternity, which is where I met Jamie! I don't think I've ever seen so many introverted people all in one room before. But alas, college came to an end, and we were set off to find our place in the world! Daunting, isn't it? While our schedules don't line up easily anymore, it makes the times we spend together all the more special. I'm very excited to celebrate their relationship and see where the future takes them!

Matthew Whitehead

Groomsman

College is often the first time many people begin to discover themselves. For Jamie and Matthew, it was in their theater class where they first met. A month later, they would find themselves in the same fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. These seemingly chance encounters blossomed into a friendship that has lasted just shy of a decade and, hopefully, will continue even longer. Whether enjoying each other’s company at fraternity meetings or events, playing games in the dorm room, or going to Applebee's, the two stayed in close fellowship. Matthew also developed a friendship with Rachel later in college. He shared many days and adventures with both the bride and groom, and this friendship extended beyond their four years of college. They stayed in contact and enjoyed each other’s company—whether it was for game nights or trips across the country to Mackinac Island. Matthew was there from when love first bloomed, and was there when love was declared with a marriage proposal– in front of a traveling band of clowns and now he looks forward to the adventures yet to come as the bride and groom, Rachel and Jamie start a new chapter of their path of life.

Michelle Vennemeyer

Bridesmaid

Michelle and Rachel met 11 years ago when Michelle started dating her oldest brother Bryant. They quickly bonded and being the little sister Michelle's never had. It's been exciting seeing Rachel go through her milestones in life. Such as graduation, college, getting engaged and now getting married. It's an honor to be a part of her big day. I can't wait to see their next adventure together!
