Ashvir lived in the small city of East London for several years while Alicia also resided there but unfortunately not once did their paths ever cross until they both relocated to Durban. It was through mutual friends that their paths finally met. Fate doesn't even begin to cut it. "Ever since then, we've become best friends, madly in love, soulmates and definitely foodies. We enjoy a good laugh, spending quality time together and going on adventures. Our spontaneous minds are second to none." Our philosophy is simple: God first, everything else comes after. Bible Verse: "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." Matthew 19:6 Please join us celebrate our special day by experiencing all the things we love most; food, laughter, and adventure. Spilling some tea about the couple: Ashvir and Alicia are both born and raised Durbanites. Ashvir is a professional in the field of technology and has obtained his Honours degree. Ashvir enjoys playing the keyboard in his spare time and occasionally creates a beat with his love for music. Alicia is also a professional in her field and is a qualified Educator. She loves spending her spare time experimenting with food but baking is more her passion. She also prefers being called "Ally". Both individuals love long scenic drives and their favourite place in the whole world is KZN's very own Midlands which they are excited to share in with you.
Our beautiful proposal took place on the long weekend of Freedom Day. Just like every other holiday, it was agreed that Alicia plan the activities for the Thursday and Ashvir plan the Friday. "Being the busy bodies that we are, we don't ever miss the opportunity to do something fun". On the 28th of April, it started off with breakfast in Umhlanga and then a "random" drive to the Virginia airport where Ashvir wanted to check out the helicopter packages seeing as that specific day had to include an activity and some spontaneity. Little did Alicia know, Ashvir had planned a surprise proposal. "As we arrived at the airport, everything was in full motion. We got into the helicopter, we flew over Inanda Dam and just seconds before we could land on the mountaintop, Ashvir popped the question and it was an undoubtedly Yes! from me". Ashvir had planned this surprise proposal to the tee! "When we landed, there was a beautiful picnic setup with breathtaking views and a photographer ready to capture this special moment. Our proposal was one filled with excitement, happiness and lots of heightened emotions from the days main event".
