It started out a normal weekend night where I made plans to visit Carson and we'd go out for dinner. Of course, we ended up choosing Shep's in Weatherford. If you've never had the pleasure of going let me tell you a secret.. their food is wonderful but their drinks are STRONG. Not prepared what's so ever for the charm this man posses, I gradually felt myself starting to realize that the more time I spent with him the more I truly felt myself and at home. We laughed and joked for hours, but the whole time no matter how deep the subject or trama he was genuinely happy to be there with me. We eventually got back to his apartment and continued to laugh and joke, and as he turned to go into the kitchen he made a silly joke and in that moment I just blurted out "God I love you". I truly meant it. In that moment I knew this was my person. I tried to play it off and say "I didn't say that pftt no what?", but we both knew. He pulled me in, kissed me gently, held my face and we laughed and stared into each others eyes. From that moment on we have been together ever since and I wouldn't have it any other way. And for years to come he'll always hear me say "I love you" everytime he goes into the kitchen.
