How far away is the airport to Atlantis Resort?

Answer

The airport you will be landing in is called the "Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport" in the Bahamas. It is a 25 minute (11 miles) taxi ride to Atlantis Resort.

Is there Uber or Lyft in the Bahamas?

Answer

No. The Bahamas does NOT have ride sharing apps. They will have plenty of taxis at the airport to transport you to Atlantis Resort. The resort recommended each party carry some cash to pay the taxi drivers.

Do I have to take a COVID test in order to get into or out of the Bahamas?

Answer

*UPDATE 10/31/2022 - The Unites States has lifted its COVID test policy and now you do not need to have a covid test to enter or leave the Bahamas.

Do I need a passport to enter into the Bahamas?

Answer

Yes. Please make sure your passports are not expired. If they are, contact Mridul and Ashley immediately as our wedding planner can help expedite the process of renewing passports.

Will there be vegetarian food (with no egg) provided at the sangeet and wedding reception?

Answer

Yes.

Do I need to wear Indian clothes for the Sangeet or Wedding?

Answer

As we recommend our guests to wear colorful Indian attire, it is not required. Please feel free to wear what you have.

Are the venues outside?

Answer

Yes. Both Sangeet and Wedding venues are located outdoors. The sun sets in the Bahamas at 5:30pm, so the heat will be manageable during the evening time. Both of our events will take place in the evening time. In case it rains, the venues will be moved indoors.

If I am staying in an Airbnb, how do I get to the wedding events?

Answer

While staying in an Airbnb is cheaper, you will be missing out on all the fun activities, aquariums and water exhibits Atlantis is world famous for. You will be able to buy a day pass from Atlantis's website for a hefty price. If staying outside the resort, in order to be allowed to our Sangeet and Wedding venue, you will have to be escorted by Atlantis staff 30 minutes before the event start times. We highly recommend to book a room at the resort using our discounted rates.
