The dress code for the wedding is formal. Suit/tie and dresses/formal evening pants are all appropriate. We highly encourage bright colors!
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm. Please arrive on time to ensure you don’t miss the moment! We recommend arriving by 4:45pm. Please note that our wedding ceremony will take place outdoors on Rock Island Lake. You may want to bring a sweater/jacket just in case it's chilly.
Yes, we have set up shuttle buses to bring guests to/from the Courtyard by Marriott Rockaway-Mt. Arlington & Holiday Inn Express & Suites where our room blocks are. Shuttles will depart from both hotels at 4:15 p.m. Please look for directional signage in the Courtyard by Marriott Rockaway-Mt. Arlington lobby & at the front desk of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Shuttles will depart from Rock Island Lake Club at 11:00 p.m. when the reception ends.
While getting an Uber to the venue may be easy, there are not many Ubers in the area for pickup at the end of the reception. Please be sure to schedule your ride home in advanced if you are planning to Uber. You may experience longer than normal wait times for an Uber in this area.
If you choose to drive, there is plenty of parking at the venue.

Our wedding ceremony, cocktail "hour," and reception will all take place at Rock Island Lake Club between 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Shuttles Depart from Hotels at 4:15 p.m. Wedding Ceremony: 5:00-5:30 p.m. Cocktail "Hour": 5:30-7:00 p.m. (90 minute cocktail "hour." Think of it as the pregame.) Reception: 7:00-11:00 p.m. After Party: The Bistro Bar at The Courtyard by Marriott Rockaway-Mt. Arlington will remain open until 2:00a.m. (cash bar)
We invite you to be fully present with us during our wedding ceremony. We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos and/or videos during the ceremony. We've hired an amazing photographer to capture all of the special moments of our day!
Yes, our venue is fully wheelchair/handicap accessible. There is an elevator indoors and paved walkways that will bring you from indoors to the ceremony area.
The Bistro Bar at The Courtyard by Marriott Rockaway-Mt. Arlington will remain open until 2:00a.m. so we can keep the party going! Please note that this will be a cash bar.
If you have booked through our hotel block at the Courtyard by Marriott Rockaway-Mt. Arlington, your room reservation includes breakfast vouchers for up to four (4) people. If you have booked at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, breakfast is included in your reservation. The hotel is also located adjacent to Cracker Barrel restaurant, Dunkin Donut, Wingman, Sub Station and Quick Check Convenient Store. Please note that we are not hosting a formal brunch. We encourage all guests to take advantage of the breakfast offerings and make their way home when they are ready.
Our room block rate at the Holiday Inn has expired and we can no longer guarantee that rooms will be available. As of 3.21, there is still availability at the hotel online (view https://www.zola.com/wedding/ashleyandmonte/travel for more info). This hotel is located across the street from our main hotel block at the Courtyard by Marriott Rockaway-Mt. Arlington (6 min walk | 2 min drive), which is also sold out. Transportation to and from the wedding venue will be provided from these hotels. Please note that if you plan on attending the wedding after party at the Courtyard by Marriott Rockaway-Mt. Arlington, you will be responsible for your own transportation back to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites (6 min walk | 2 min drive).
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that either of the hotels will be able to accommodate early check-in for guests. If you would like to check-in early, we recommend calling the hotel front desk to inquire.
The RSVP card included in your invitation indicates the number of seat(s) we have reserved for you.

When completing the RSVP form, there is space for you to note any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Please feel free to reach out to Monte and Ashley to make them aware of any food allergies you may have. You can also let your waiter know the night of the wedding.
