FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The attire is dressy casual. Please wear nice outfits, but suit jackets, tuxes, gowns, etc. are not required. Ideas for what to wear include dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, or a dress shirt and slacks (ties optional). No jeans or shorts please!

Question

Are there any colors I should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that you avoid wearing large amounts of white, maroon, or forest green as these colors are reserved for the brides and wedding party.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. Please arrive no later than 3:40 to park and find your seat.

Question

Can I bring a date/plus one?

Answer

If you received a plus one, their name or "guest" will be listed under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would love to keep our wedding as an intimate event with family and close friends. Thank you for understanding!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 17, 2024.

Question

What if I don't RSVP by the deadline?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the August 17th deadline, you will be marked as "not attending." The reason for this being that we must provide accurate guest counts to all of our vendors within a timely manner.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Spokane weather can be pretty unpredictable, but we expect the highs to be in the mid to low 70s, and the lows to be in the high 40s.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will both be outdoors. The ceremony will be in the woods and the reception will be in a garden.

Question

Can I take photos and videos during the cermony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This means we are asking that all phones and cameras are put away and turned to silent/off. We have hired a professional photographer to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we'd hate to have a persons phone or camera blocking that moment for our photographer to capture. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you want and share them with us!

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

The venue is the Foxwood House, located at 125 Foxwood Dr, Newport, WA. This is about 1 hour north of downtown Spokane. We will not be providing transportation to the venue, but there is plenty of parking on site.

Question

Is the venue accessible?

Answer

Foxwood House has ADA parking available, and is wheelchair accessible. The event will be held outdoors, but there are no stairs or hills.

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is a (free) parking lot next to the venue with plenty of space.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! We will have beer and wine. No hard liquor will be permitted. Please do not bring any outside beverages to the venue.

Question

Will there be nonalcoholic drink options?

Answer

Yes!

Question

What type of food will you be serving?

Answer

We will be having a taco bar with various meat and veggie options.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please indicate any dietary restrictions when you RSVP for the wedding. We will do our best to accommodate them!

Question

Can I post pictures of the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you wait to post any pictures of the ceremony on social media until after we are able to post our professional photos taken by our photographer. Feel free to post reception photos at any time!
