(Ashley Typing) I was invited by one of my co-workers from my old waitressing job to attend an artist signing party, for a local record label, in Washington D.C. Keep in mind, this is a new foreign environment for me, as my friend was the only person I knew attending. The venue had multiple floors, a dance floor on the top, video games, and a variety of activities on the first. There was lots of music, dancing, and games, the night was young. In my attempts to go back upstairs to enjoy the dance floor, Kedar's back was facing the stairs, I saw his beautiful, long luscious, exemplary locs. And for whatever reason I was bold enough that night to compliment his hair. "I love your locs", he turned around, smiled, and replied "thanks Queen". We didn't interact much after that, but Kedar kept his attention on me. He knew I wasn't a veteran to the environment we were in, so I piqued his interest, so much so, that before the night ended he mustered up the courage to ask me for my instagram despite having apprehensions about me. Now, on March 14th 2025 we will be starting our lives together forever.

Kedar planned an entire trip to Vegas. It was one of the most romantic times and the most thoughtful gestures anyone has ever done for me. He first made sure that I was well pampered and relaxed with having a spa day ready for me. I was able to enjoy a massage and a luxurious pool area. Then he took me to go skydiving over the Nevada dessert, the mountains were very scenic and beautiful , I felt like I was flying. After the day of adventure and exhilaration, we got back to our room and got ready for a romantic evening with a limo ride to a helicopter tour around the well lit Las Vegas Strip. We saw all the classic Vegas attractions. After the private helicopter tour, Kedar managed to get a reservation to the restaurant of one of our favorite shows, Hell's Kitchen, IT'S RAW! Keep in mind reservations are hard to come by, so we were very blessed to have snagged one. A year into our relationship Kedar had given me a "promise ring", while at dinner he asked if he could "see it", and proceeded to go to the bathroom with it. After one of the most amazing dinners, we were ready to head out of the restaurant, Kedar proceeded to ask if he had returned my ring. In a frenzy we were searching all over the restaurant, on the floor, back at the table, I even wondered if he had left it in the bathroom, with no avail of finding the ring, Kedar suggested that it was time for a new ring, and he got down on one knee and popped the question in the middle of the restaurant! I SAID YES!
