The night before our two week vacation, we went to John's mom's house for a dinner. When we show up I see my graduation banner hung up outside with balloons. Of course I was confused because I graduated from graduate school over a year ago at that point. I was thinking It was a surprise graduation party considering I graduated during Covid and couldn't have a party. I open the door to our family saying surprise but standing still, just watching us. I slowly turn to look back at John because I was so confused on what was going on. As I turn around, John is on one knee asking me to marry him!! The best day of my life. Until our wedding day of course.
