Jack and I met through mutual friends. One of my best friends from college, Ally, married his childhood friend, Cody. Jack had always been around, but it wasn’t till April 2023 when we ran into each other at Smith’s Old Bar in Atlanta that we became closer. I started seeing Jack every weekend as just friends and it quickly became a crying baby in the back seat (just kidding but that’s what’s happening as we write our story). When it became clear that we meant more to each other than friends, our relationship became quickly serious. We fell in love and Jack had all but moved in with me shortly after - I gave up a small section of my closet and everything. By the time my lease was up in the fall I officially moved in with Jack and his brother William where we adopted our puppy Boogie. Jack and I then moved to a cute blue cottage with a white picket fence in Grant Park and while we were so excited to spend a year in the city together, fate intervened in the form of our beautiful daughter, Adeleine. By the time we found out we were pregnant, I already knew I was going to marry this man. Funnily enough, the week prior we had flown up to New York to look at engagement rings at my Uncle Mark’s [jewelry store], who will now be marrying us. Jack proposed at the Roswell Mill Bridge three months later, how he caught me by surprise I’m not sure. We bought a beautiful house in the suburbs the next month, where our daughter has room to grow. Adeleine Lucy Zegers, who was born in June (the day after her dad’s birthday - happy birthday Jack!) will now do us the honor of being our flower girl as we commit our love to each other in front of all of our family and friends. We are so excited to spend the rest of our lives together with our happy little family and excited you’ll be with us on this special day.
