George and I met at the beach back in the summer of 2015. Once high school started, we saw each other more and more. George walked me to my classes and we went out on dates with our friends and had study groups together. Of course, I could not focus with such a handsome man in my study group! I more so studied him, he was so handsome!! I was not allowed to date until I was 16 years old, and as we waited within that year to call it official, we learned we had grown an interest in each other. From long beach days to going fishing, time flew by very fast and I turned 16 years old. My dad took us to The Magic Kingdom as our first official date and it was the best day of my life! We became more involved with fishing and it became our hobby. What a perfect way to spend time with each other, at the beach, catching God's creations! To this day, we still go fishing and it is the best way for us to spend quality time together. Now, as we plan our wedding, we get to incorporate some of our favorite things such as the beach and fishing. We are SO excited. Little did we know, this would be a forever love! What we love most about each other is our love for God and what He has done for our relationship. God has done so much work in our lives and we rejoice in Him. We pray and have faith that He will continue to show His love and be there for us. After 8 years of being together, George dreamt of a perfect proposal on the beach. However, God sent us a blessing in disguise in a form of a storm. Plans changed and George decided to propose at our favorite restaurant. The manager let him put together a magical runaway full of rose petals in a private room in the back with big light up letters saying "Marry Me". As if that was not perfect enough, he had both our families and our friends awaiting our arrival as we walked up. Each person handed me a picture of George and I within the last few years with a Bible verse on the back or words of encouragement. It turned out to be the absolute best way to ask his forever question on April 29th 2023, and of course, I said YES!
